The Future of Presenting the Past

The Presenting the Past project has captured a wealth of material which UWALS will make available to as many interested parties as it can. That wealth of material will include a photography archive, a collection of original writings and songs, oral history recordings, research material, artwork and a documentary film.

The photographs from the exhibition can be viewed on this website (under Photo Archive tab).  They are also available on the Capturing the Past website: https://www.dalescommunityarchives.org.uk/content/organisation/upper-wharfedale-arts-literature-society along with a host of other material from the exhibition. Copies of the book, Present in the Past and the CD are available by contacting UWALS on uwalsociety@gmail.com

In early 2020 Matthew Roberts kindly agreed to loan the original glass negatives to the North Yorkshire Archive Service in Northallerton for their safe keeping.

Anybody who would like to know more about how to access the material after the exhibition should please email us on uwalsociety@gmail.com

We are also happy to come along to talk to any groups about the project and/or about the outcomes, please do get in touch by telephone 01756 770350 or email us at uwalsociety@gmail.com.
